Laminate Flooring

What are laminated floors?

Laminate flooring is a cost-effective product that looks similar to actual wood and it can prove difficult to tell the difference between the two. The underlayment is an important component when laying down these floors as a rubber base should be used for support, protection and a solid foundation.

We offer a wide range of shades and a timely yet precise installation. Please feel free to contact our Sales Department for a booking or consultation should you want to install laminate flooring.

Tips and Techniques

How to Clean Laminated Floors?

1. Make sure you sweep the floor regularly with a dry dust mop to remove everyday dirt.
2. Sweeping in the direction that the laminate floors were laid, allows you to pick up any dirt that may have fallen between the groves of the flooring.
3. Clean up liquid spills immediately with a cloth or sponge to avoid stain damages and to avoid damage to the protective wear layer of the flooring.
4. Use a bucket of hot water, as it does not leave streaks, and a wrung-out mop to clean the floor every few months.
5. A microfiber cloth can be used to dry the floor if mildly wet and water should not be kept on the laminate floor for long periods of time. Simply, a damp cloth can be used for scuff marks and dirt.
6. A damp micro fire mop can work well to clean laminate floors as it will not dull the appearance of the floor as everyday house cleaners would.
7. Avoid using polishes or waxes on laminate floors as this can create a build-up.
